Brand Equity is built to grow your career, not replace it.
I've been consistently building a personal brand since 2005 — not the kind built to go viral, the kind built to compound.
It's led to multiple successful brands and businesses, a six-figure industry-leading career development program, several senior leadership roles I never applied for, and the room to say yes to what's next.
Over the last two decades, I've helped build study abroad and travel media companies to multiple seven-figures ARR, teams of 120+ people on two continents, raised capital for my own travel tech startup, and bootstrapped a six-figure solopreneur business (Inside Study Abroad).
And I did a lot of it while traveling the world full-time.
Along the way, I became a three time founder, TEDx speaker, author, podcaster, global digital nomad, and dog-mom.

Via TRM
My main focus is my role as Senior Vice President of Global Strategy & Marketing at Via TRM, where we help universities and global education organizations run smarter programs and keep their travelers safe.
I didn't apply for this role — the Via CEO found me through my work, my writing, and a brand I've been consistently investing in for years. It's the clearest proof I have that brand equity pays dividends.
The New Dorothy
After 20+ years of building brands, growing companies, and stamping passports in 60+ countries, I'm betting the next 20 will be even more interesting. The New Dorothy is where I'm documenting all of it — including the slightly unhinged decision to buy a 126-year-old abandoned house in my rural Kansas hometown and bring it back to life, one weekend at a time.
It's a YouTube channel, a newsletter, and a running record of what happens when you stop waiting for an interesting life to find you and go create one instead.
The Study Abroad Journal
The Study Abroad Journal is the only guided goal-setting, action-planning, and reflection experience designed for study abroad students by study abroad experts.
Running since 2016, it's sold thousands of copies and used by hundreds of universities as their pillar pre-departure and on-site tool. But beyond that, it's earned both income and brand equity in the background year after year. Another clear example of a brand deposit that keeps paying dividends, long after I made it.
